This rustic, fully-restored farm house from the 17th Century is situated on the pleasant hillside of San Pietro a Cegliolo with the stunning Val di Chiana plain spread out below.
The five-year restoration project has succeeded in reviving the antique magnificence of the hotel and its surrounding village, emphasizing its traditional characteristics, such as the stone façade, the interior beams, the cotto pavements and the fire places made of serena stone. Outside, the little alleys from the farm buildings lead to the swimming pool, the wonderful arcade of the 1600's and an antique well which embellishes the courtyard.
Explore the stunning surroundings by hiring one of the hotel’s mountain bikes or going horse-riding. Alternatively, after a busy day spent visiting the ancient city of Cortona, located just 4 km from the hotel, you could unwind with a game of table tennis, or play seven-a-side football on the pitch.

Cortona, located just 5 minutes drive away from the Relais, is a wonderful medieval town that retains the true ancient flavour of its Etruscan past. Its museums are known to be some of the best in Italy.
Diocesan Museum (4 km) - This interesting museum houses some prestigious works of Tuscan art from the 13th to 19th centuries, including Luca Signorelli's 'Deposition'.
Maec Museum (4.5 km) - Also known as the Museum of the Etruscan Academy, this is one of Italy's most important museums and it is a great way to get to know Cortona's history.
Arezzo (20 km) - Easily reached by car, this pretty medieval town, in which much of Roberto Benigni's 'Life is Beautiful' was shot, is well worth a day trip.
Trasimeno Lake (25 km) - This huge lake is a great place to go walking or try out some water sports.
